RUBIS uses different standards:
- SEPA standards, for SEPA Credit Transfers (SCT)
- SEPAmail-messaging service standards, for interbank exchanges of the payment requests and directory flows
- SEPAmail standards to identify actors by using the QXBAN
- Bank standards to identify actors by using the IBAN
- SEPAmail-RUBIS standards for the data organisation in the interbank context
- SEPAmail-RUBIS standards to organise the data in the bank-customer relationship. Although the bank-customer relationship is the competitive space, SEPAmail-RUBIS defines a standard mainly for the usage of companies in order to avoid their systems evolution in case they change bank.
The following standards are used:
- SEPAmail - RUBIS ActivationRequest for the initial request and the transmission by the creditor bank
- SEPAmail - RUBIS ActivationReport for the confirmation by the creditor bank
- PACS 008 if the credit transfer is achieved
