Compatibility with the EPC needs

The SEPAmail concept fits especially well to route ISO 20022 messages between 2 banks. Indeed, these messages use the BIC and the IBAN as the identification reference of both parties: banks and banks' customers.

As an example:

• the check of the Bank Account ID (CAI-VAI)

• the check of the mandate validity, both for the italian SEDA optional service (AOS) and for the service defined by EPC which is AMI (Advance Mandate Information)
